Saturday
The guys had work to do today though. Here's Austin working hard putting a cement border around the yard.
And here is David working his magic on a gas tank he's trying to finish up. See that look on his face? That's the face of hardwork...not a lack of fiber in his diet...I promise.
Vicki and I provided moral support by lounging around on the deck. Moral support is important I think. Everyone needs to know they've got someone cheering them on. I took a picture of us supporting our men but my double chin overtook the picture and I figured the world has seen it's share of bad things.
Carson showed his support by hanging out with Enzo the dog and his neighbor friend. We don't know her name but Carson suggested Hannah Montana because that's a girls name. He kept them out of the cement.
Hannah Montana mader herself at home on Enzo's bed. We like Hannah Montana...she should visit more often but I'm thinking that won't happen since David ran over her leg. She's okay though. It then became nap time. A time we all enjoy.
Carson is almost convincing isn't he? After soaking up some sun, I came in for a nap and it felt good. What a nice, relaxing day!

Job Interview
I listened to the first message and the lady mentioned she would be interviewing for part time...I need full time and so I knew it wasn't going to work out. So, I thanked the Lord for the call back even if it seemed fruitless to me. Then the next message came on and the lady said she was interested in an interview. So tomorrow I have an interview. I really hope and pray that this job works out.
Wish me luck!

Camping
It doesn't match either obviously. But we're not going to drive around with it on all the time.
Now all the animals won't be able to eat me through a tent.

Boredom
I'm not really sure if this is David or Austin but it's neat shot anyways.
I love how there's water everywhere. Springs in the middle of the ground. Streams everywhere. Reservoirs all over the place. It's pretty cool.

New Toy
It came with all the railings too. David and Austin are going to lay down flooring and make it a double decker. The vision is indoor/outdoor carpeting and couches and chairs bolted down in a little sitting area under the top deck. It'll be like a little cabin area. Then the front part will be open. It's going to have a grill too! It's going to be sooo sweet!
It'll be really cool if we can take the speedboat out with the pontoon. It'll be our house boat. But right now it needs some help.
It's going to be fun!!

Weekend Plans
I was thinking today, trying to remember when I last camped. And well, I can't remember. Have I ever camped? Please tell me yes. Is there anyone out there who remembers me camping with them? *crickets* Hmm...this isn't looking good. Oh! One time in February I camped in Amy's backyard. It was horrible. I have one memory of sitting around a campfire...I must have camped.
This should make for an interesting weekend. I'll just have to make sure I have my Ipod with my Kid Rock camping song while I'm sitting inside the air conditioned RV watching movies. Hahaha, just kidding. Or am I?
Actually, in all all truthfulness, I am looking forward to this summer. If all goes according to plan we will be going to Jackson Hole (yay!), doing lots of camping and hiking, canoeing and 4 wheeling, taking out the boat and sailboat. We have lots of plans and I hope we get to do it all. I've got hopes that this is going to be an awesome summer!

Mosquito Control
Today was another uneventful day. I'll be making a phone call tomorrow about a job so we'll see how that goes. I made some meatloaf tonight that was pretty good. And Vicki made some rolls that were delish! It's sad when I have nothing to write about other than dinner. Maybe I'll turn this into a food blog. Just kidding. Peace out y'all.

New Trick
David said today that his boss might want to move him to the mosquito control department. Which would mean he'd have to work Fridays. That's a bummer. Still no job for me yet.
I did learn something on my camera this weekend. I realize that it's not that cool and that people out there do things that I have no clue on how to do...example being photoshop! Dang photoshop! It never works for me! Why is it so complicated and why won't it do something so simple for me? Anyways, here's what I learned how to do:
Do you see it? Can you see what I did? I made everything black and white except for one color. Cool huh? I am pretty excited about it.
Well there's nothing else to say. Have a good evening or day...whatever is appropriate for when you read this.

A Hole In My Belly
So, I have 2 holes in my stomach besides my belly button. I have this scar on my stomach and I've had what I thought was a scab on the end of it. Today I was messing with it wondering why this scab hasn't healed up yet. So as I'm picking it, I proceed to pull it out along with a string connected to it. I didn't know what it was! I immediately went to the kitchen and bagged it in a baggie so David could check it out when he got home.
Well, as I'm telling Vicki about it, she says it sounds like stitches. Darn. I thought I was going to have a cool story. So, I show it to David and he says the same thing. So now I have a hole where it was and no cool story. Bummer.
As for my other hole...I found out my belly button ring hole didn't close up! I've had it out for over a month now since my surgery and figured it closed up so I threw the stupid ring away. Then I notice the other day that it looks open so I stuck an earring in it. Yay! I LOVE my belly button ring and was sad it was gone. My belly was naked!
Well, I suppose this is all too much information but sadly I have nothing else to talk about so this is what you get. We're all friends here, right? Right.

Seriously?
David started his new job today. I hope he likes it.
I have nothing else except to leave you with this sweet face:
and a picture of Austin's narly toe.

Sailing
I'm just looking forward to later in the summer when we all can jump in the water and have some fun instead of all 11 of us being forced to stay on the boat! The wind eventually died down and we had to use the motor to get us back to shore so we weren't out there all night making our way back. We had some motor issues but Austin got them figured out and off we went. Then we had some issues with getting the boat on the trailor without the pads flipping the wrong way. Overall though it was a great time.
Here's inside the boat. It has a kitchen area, bathroom and a bed in the back. Plus more room to sleep toward the front of the boat.
This water is so stinkin' blue! I can't get used to not looking at red water!
Here's loading the boat up to go home.

Nothing new today
Looks like we might be going sailing this weekend. That should be fun.
Well, unless you want to hear about me opening the phone book and randomly calling places for jobs or driving around Logan looking for places to apply, I have nothing to else to say. I'm out.

Some Good News
So, something I've learned while being here is that the farmers let their cattle run loose in the mountains. It's kind of a strange sight when you're used to cows only being in fields. The farmers bring them up there to graze and then will round them up for the winter.
Also, people around here use llama's to protect their sheep.
Hmm, I think I've got some more information...oh! I know. People around here hunt mountain lions. They release their dogs into the mountains. When the dogs find a mountain lion they will chase it up a tree and the guy will come along and shoot it. Seems kind of like cheating to me :)
The other day we saw some guy driving around in the mountains hanging out his window with some metal thing. That's what he was doing-tracking his dogs.

So Much To Say
David and I were on our way to Logan today when Vicki called and said that someone from a potential job called for David. He called back and they set up an interview for this afternoon. Yay! So we turned around and came back to the house.
Vicki and I took her kids down to this little cabin and took pictures of her boys. Not too bad for amateurs I must say!
Carson is 5 and Trace is 6 months. We did get some of them smiling but I just wanted to show ho cute this sepia tone is with the cabin background.
I also snapped some pictures of the basement we're living in. It's not bad at all!
We have satellite tv down there and our dvd and surround sound set up. It's pretty sweet.
