I feel like I've been cut off from the whole world the last few days. David's accident was on Tuesday and he stayed home on Wednesday. We went and cleaned out our truck and took pictures of the damage. I spoke to the insurance lady and the cop. Did I mention David didn't get a ticket? Thank goodness.
Amazingly, David hasn't been too sore so he went to work on Thursday and Friday. Both days were fine. I can't believe, neither can he, that he hasn't been more sore than he has been. On Thursday a guy from work took him to lunch to celebrate his life :0)
David's being at work means me being at home...with no car so I've had no contact with the outside world in the last few days. Until Friday, when I hosted Bunco.
Some hopefully good news is that on Thursday I got a call back from a dentist office about a job that I had applied for. I didn't get the message until 8 that night though. I panicked about what to do...my prepaid phone was out of minutes and I had no car to get there if they wanted an interview. I was also worried that they might not be open on Fridays. So I got up Friday morning and put money on my prepaid phone and called the dentist office. The lady asked if I could come in at 10 for an interview. I explained that I didn't have a vehicle and would need to find a ride, could I come at 11? She said yes.
I called Vicki who was having phone issues and so I frantically called my pastor's wife and asked if she could give me a ride. She said she couldn't but that I could borrow her car. She came and got me, I dropped her off and was on my way. I made it to the dentist office with a few minutes to spare.
I went it and got a tour, did an interview and took a 200 question personality test. As I was handing my test back and about to leave, the interviewer lady asked me to come back on Monday to meet the dentist and the rest of the staff. Only problem is, I start training at the county on Monday. The lady from the dentist office wants me to come Monday morning and I couldn't call the county on Friday because they're closed. She said that I could come on Tuesday but that she preferred Monday. I think she realized that wasn't very nice for me to show up at the county on Monday and say "do you mind if I go....?" so the lady called me back after I'd left and said she wanted to talk to me more and that if I needed to come Tuesday, that'd be fine.
So, tomorrow I've got to take David to work (before 6 am) and then be back in Preston to work at 7. Then possibly go back to Logan to see the dentist and then back later on to pick up David.
Also, someone ordered a tool from us this week!

The Wreck
Anyone who reads this blog is also friends with me on facebook and you can see pictures of the wreck there.
I didn't know this until a while ago but when David wrecked, he was heading North and by the time he flipped over, he was facing South. Crazy. He must have done some crazy aerial twist thing.
We looked at the truck today and his door is dented out. Looks like he hit the door on the inside and pushed it out. That would make sense why his side/shoulder blade area hurts. Also, his head is just a little tender on the side and we figure he must have hit the window.
Praise God he isn't hurt worse. God is so good to take care of His children.

Thankful
Tonight as I was waiting for David to come home from work, Austin showed up and told me that David had been in an accident. He said he was okay but that the truck wasn't okay. I jumped in the car and headed to the hospital. On the way there, I came across the accident and spoke to the police officer and he told me that David was okay and told me that he had fallen asleep and showed me where the truck had been.
The nurse told him that it was a miracle that he was okay. She said she's been working in the ER for 6 years and had never seen anyone not seriously injured after a roll over accident...and those people had been wearing their seatbelt.
God is so good. He completely was in control of the situation. We can't figure out how David never hit the steering wheel when he nose dived into the ditch. He missed the power pole, praise God and just days before David and Austin took out the tractor weights from the back of the truck. Had they not, they might have ended up in the cabin with him.
He has minor injuries and we are so thankful that it wasn't any worse and no one else got hurt.
Pray for him over the next few days.

Sweet Story
I read this story and just thought it was sweet but sad.
There was an 8 year old boy who had a younger sister dying of Leukemia. He was told that without a blood transfusion she would die. His parents asked if they could test his blood to see if he was compatible with hers. He said sure. They tested and it was a match. Then they asked if he would give his sister a pint of his own blood, that it could be her only chance of living. He said he would have to think about it over night.
The next day he told his parents he was willing to donate the blood. They took him to the hospital; he was put on a gurney beside his 6 year old sister. Both were hooked up to IVs. A nurse took a pint of blood from the boy, which was given to his sister. The boy lay in silence as the blood that would save his sister dripped from the IV, until the doctor came over to see how he was doing. Then the boy opened his eyes and asked, "How soon until I start to die?"
Love is never so fully love as when it gives.

Can't Decide
I've gone back and forth over whether or not I should quit blogging for a while. I've thought maybe I'd pick it back up in the spring when we're doing more. Funny thing is, it seems I can't part with this ol' blog.
I have nothing to write about and all the times that I think about something I want to share that I've been thinking about I don't have the internet so I can't put it on here. By the time I'm on the internet I'm usually in a hurry or not feeling very philosophical :0)
Only thing going on is I'm waiting on my transcript from UCO so I can go to school again. No more sitting around wasting time for me.
I've been spending a lot of time with a 91 year old woman. She is a really amazing, godly woman. All she does is talk about God. She can't wait to go home to be with her Lord. What a glorious thing to know. She is inspirational. She's lived her life for the Lord and made it count. I hope to be like her and raise a family that loves the Lord too.

Spring
Oh. My. Gosh. Spring, Summer...please hurry and come! I need something to write about! For the sake of this blog and the years of memories to look back on, hurry up! My days really aren't boring but I don't have anything fun to write about. It sucks.
I'm ready to travel. I need to sight see. I need to go somewhere I've never been. So please, Spring, come now.
